Hospice Care at Home in Denver

We started in hospice. It is the hardest kind of care, and it is the kind we do best. Independent caregivers from our registry work alongside your hospice team to bring comfort, presence, and dignity during the days that matter most.

A steady presence between nurse visits

When a family enters hospice, the hospice agency provides the medical team, nurses, a social worker, a chaplain, who visit on a schedule. What families often do not realize until they are in it is how much happens in the hours between those visits. That is where an independent caregiver makes the difference. Atlee is a home care registry (called a placement agency under Colorado law) that connects your family directly with experienced caregivers who provide comfort and personal care at home, working right alongside your hospice team.

Compassionate in-home hospice caregiver supporting a senior in Denver

We connect you with caregivers experienced in end-of-life support: personal hygiene and bathing, gentle repositioning for comfort, light meals, medication reminders in coordination with the hospice nurse, and the quiet, human work of simply being present. For many families, the greatest gift is rest, knowing someone steady is with their loved one so they can sleep, or step away, without fear.

There are no minimum-hour requirements for end-of-life care. Start with a few hours of respite, or arrange overnight and continuous vigil coverage during the final days. The rate is a flat $35 per hour, plus a small transaction fee, with no evening, weekend, or last-minute premiums. Rather than promising a single named caregiver, we work with your family to build a small, approved care team of people you have met and trust, so there is always a familiar face and coverage never breaks down at the moment you need it most.

How independent caregivers help

Personal Comfort Care

Bathing, grooming, gentle repositioning, and help staying comfortable. Every task is done with patience and respect for your loved one's dignity.

Overnight & Vigil Coverage

A calm, wakeful presence through the night, and continuous coverage during the final days so no one has to sit alone.

Comfort & Companionship

Reading aloud, familiar music, a held hand. The steady human presence that brings peace when words run out.

Family Respite

Time for family to rest, eat, and breathe. We step in so you can be a daughter or a son again, not only a caregiver.

Coordination With Hospice

Caregivers work alongside your hospice nurses, following the care plan and communicating what they observe between visits.

Light Meals & Household Help

Simple, appealing meals, tidying the care space, and keeping the home calm and ready for whatever the day brings.

We started here

Hospice is where Atlee began. It is the care we know most deeply, and the reason so many Denver families are referred to us by their hospice teams.

No minimums

End-of-life needs do not fit a rigid schedule. Arrange a few hours or round-the-clock vigil coverage, with a flat $35/hr and no upcharges.

An approved care team

We work with your family to build a small team of caregivers you have met and approved, so there is always a familiar, trusted face.

Hospice care questions, answered

Does hospice include a caregiver at home?

Not usually in the way families expect. A hospice agency sends nurses, a social worker, and a chaplain who visit on a schedule, but they are not in the home around the clock. The day-to-day presence between those visits, help with personal care, repositioning, meals, and simply not being alone, is what an independent caregiver from the Atlee registry provides. We work alongside your hospice team, not in place of it.

How much does in-home hospice support cost in Denver?

Care through the Atlee registry is a flat $35 per hour, plus a small transaction fee, whether it is a weekday afternoon or a Saturday night. There are no minimum-hour requirements for end-of-life care, so you can arrange a few hours of respite or continuous vigil coverage as your family needs. Your hospice benefit through Medicare covers the hospice team itself; the in-home caregiver is a separate, private-pay service.

Can a caregiver stay overnight or provide vigil coverage?

Yes. Overnight presence and vigil coverage during the final days are among the most common reasons Denver families call us. We work with you to arrange the hours that bring the most peace, including continuous coverage when the situation calls for it.

How quickly can hospice support at home begin?

We understand these decisions often come suddenly. In most cases we can arrange support within 24 to 48 hours, and for urgent end-of-life situations we do everything we can to arrange same-day care. Call (720) 378-8708 and we will move as quickly as your family needs.

Are the caregivers experienced with hospice?

Atlee started in hospice care. The independent caregivers we connect families with are experienced working alongside every major hospice agency in Denver, and we match your family with people who understand the emotional weight of this work and carry it with steadiness and warmth.
